20090826_1057_833 The Snow Ridge (mis-spelt on this marker). Highpoint (3960 metres) on the road to HuangLong.
20090826_1251_837 The wooden walkway from the cable car station to HuangLong. A long, but low gradient, climb. However, with the air being a little thin at about 3600 metres, it still felt quite arduous.
20090826_1338_840 Not far from the top of the cable car. The cable car base station is about 3200 metres above sea level, the station at the top is about 3500-3600 metres above sea level.
20090826_1350_3002 Walking from the cable car station to HuangLong. Glimpses of Huanglong can be seen through the forest.
20090826_1409 The walking path beside HuangLong is finally in sight. Unfortunately, there is yet ANOTHER climb up the hill to Five Colour Lake. Lots of people resting on those steps (me included....)! One lady even needed a loan of my oxygen supply.
20090826_1420_3003 Can there be anything worth seeing further up this muddy-looking stream?

20090826_1551_3026 HuangLong has sometimes been unkindly described as looking like a river of vomit.
